The art of gilding in modern surface refinement
Gilding is a tribute to the material. Precious metals have fascinated mankind since the beginning of civilisation.
To use them meaningfully in surface refinement, metals are hammered to a thickness of just 100 nanometers using the traditional gold-beating method.
This is about a tenth of a hair's diameter, and is still enough to fascinates us with its beauty.

Lacquertechnique
